Acrylonitrile - Butadene - Styrene

  1. Belongs to ethylene, general material, easy to form.
  2. Fluidity, good adhesion & heat resistant in chemical plating.
  3. Stablized in formed products.
  4. Apparent fusion line in apprarance of gate part.
  5. Milky color, semi-transparent.
  6. Better imact-resistance than PS.
  7. Various ABS types are available out of mixing with different ratio of polymers. Mechanical strength and heat resistance are best among plastics, surface gloss great for coating and plating, humidity-absorptive, background color yellow needs dying in ready products.

PVC

Polyvinly Chloride

  1. No good in heat stability, forming temperature close to that of discomposition.
  2. No good in fluidity, appearance defects easily caused.
  3. May corrode modes.
  4. Easy to be charred, producing acid air.
  5. Good in strength, electric insulation, and drug resistance.
  6. May be softened by plastic agent.
  7. No good in heat resistance
  8. High proportion(1.4), flame resistance, good for printing, features vary in different formulas, wide in application scope. Reasonable price, large impact to environment protection, cracked down over 190 degrees C, releasing corrosive air.

PA

Polyamide (Nylon)

  1. Good fluidity out of low viscosity of solution.
  2. No good safety of shrinkage, easy causing waste edge.
  3. High hardness beyond dissolution temperature, causing damage to molds and screws.
  4. Viscosity sensitive to hot temperature, being a plastic material with higroscopicity.
  5. Good fluidity during high temperature, as uneasy to melt, but easy to solidify.
  6. Tough, self-lubricating and wear resistant, shock absorptive, heat, cold, and drug resistant.
  7. Mechanical strength good, coming with fiber galss reinforcement, gas masking, and humidity absorption.
  8. Insufficient force in resistance to attacks.
  9. changes in sizes and physical property after absorption of humidity.。
  10. Bad stability in size.

PBT

Polybothlene Terephthalate

  1. Good formability, good resistance against weather, heat, heat aging, electricity, fatigue, wear, hotwater, and drugs. 
  2. Belong to polyester of saturation like PET, high melting degree, rapid crystallinity and curing.
  3. bad in impact resistance strength.

PC

Polycarbonate

  1. High viscosity in solution needs high pressure and high temperature forming
  2. Fracture in residual stress .
  3. Incline to damages molds out of higher hardness.
  4. Extrusion of scrap
  5. Transparent, tough, good stability in low temperature.
  6. Good resistance against weather, light, shock, heat, and creep.
  7. Good mechanicalness in high and low temperatures

PE

Polyethylene

  1. Large shrinkageresults in products bending or transformation.
  2. Cooling time needed, no good in molding energy rate.
  3. Low depression in molded products, and forced demoulding is needed.
  4. Shrinkage rate of formed products is influenced by mold temperature, no good in stability.
  5. Good fluidity, and heat stabiluity, but easy to deform out of strong molecular matching.
  6. Lighter than water, soft.
  7. Not heat resistant, bad in adhesion for printing.
  8. Resistant to drugs, water, good electric insulation.

POM

Polyfounoldehyde ResinPolyox Mothylene Resin

  1. Called as plastic steel, easy to have thermal decomposition, good resistance against drugs and creep.
  2. Good wear, heat, drug resistance, self-lubricating, tough, and durable.
  3. Good mechanicalness, shock proof.
  4. Without self extinguishing ability, bad in acis resistance, large shrinkage in forming.
  5. Like nylon, grinding resistance like PC.
  6. Hoigh mechanical property, good in elastic recovery, bad in heat stability, high proportion(1.41).

PP

Polypropylene Resin

  1. Bad fluidity, flow marks appear out of poor filling; depression out of lack in pressure, high pressure forming is needed.
  2. For optics, transparency is a problem. And when dissimilar materials are mixed, attention to decomposition should be paid.。
  3. Great in formability, mechanical strength is higher that that of PE.
  4. waterproof and drug proof, good insulation.。
  5. Easy to deform, bend, or depress.
  6. Adhesive; the lightest in plastics.
  7. Low proportion(0.90), Grade FDA, high transparency, not hygroscopic, price low, not high in heat resistance or in mechanical strength; not high in expansion ratio, not good for printing.

AS(SAN)

Styrene-Acrylonitrile

  1. Belong to polyethylene, general material, easy to form.
  2. Good fluidity, good for froming, good forming energy rate.
  3. Easy splitting.
  4. Easy to cause waste edge.

TPE(TPR)

Thermoplastic Elastomers

  1. Soft, flexible, feel good.
  2. Easty and fast in processing, recyclable.

PS

Polystyrene

  1. Belong to ethylene, general material
  2. Good fluidity, good in formability, good forming energy rate.
  3. Easy splitting. Low in shock resistance
  4. Waste edge happens easily.
  5. Transparent, easy to dye, good insulation.
  6. Good in water and drug resistance.

TPU

Thermoplastic Polyurethane

  1. Excellent in mechanicleness, elastic.
  2. Good in wear and chemical resistance.
  3. Good compatibility with blood and cell organization.
  4. Easy to process.

PMMA
壓克力

Polymethyl Methacrylate

  1. Tough and transparent.
  2. Good in optics, insulation, processing, and weather resistance.
