Typical Wear Resistant Additive

Wear composite plastics are those coming with additives like PTFE, graphite powder, silicone, molybdenum disulfide and various fibers. After compounding with thermoplastic plastics, the wear-resistance strength is thus increased.

Compared to metals in application of wear resistance,composite plastics have the properties of: rust resistance, acid/alkali resistance, light weight, low noise. Besides, as composite plastics may be plastic injected or extruded like general ppaltics, the cost is comparatively lower than that of metals.

To date, wear resiatant products cover: bearings, sliders, gears, cams, and vanes, as wear resistant composite plastics have successfully replaced metals.

(PTFE)
Having the lowest coefficient of friction in all inner lubricants, molecule of PTFE ground out of friction process will form a layer of lubricating membrane that effectively increases the wear resistance of parts under high power load.

(Moly)
Used mainly in nylon as an additive to increase its wear resistance, Moly works as a crystallizer to increase the cryatalization of nylon, hardening the face and more friction resistant. Moly is has strong affinityto metals, once adhering to metal surface, the molecules fill in thecapillary pores, making the metal surface smoother, and which results in great effects in mutual frictions between nylon and metals like industrial bearings, cam accessories and ball joints.

(Aramid Fiber)
Aramid fiber is a soft fiber with low flaw scratch applicable to wear resiatance of plastic products, especially as it helps avoid scratching sensitive surfaces..

(Glass Fiber)
Capable to offer sturdy mechanical bonding among polymers, increasing the structure integrity of thermoplastic plastics and improving its wear resistance, glass fiber works to reinforce plastics in its anti-potential degeneration, heat conductivity, and thermal deformation, significantly improving load resistance and friction ressistancee of plastics.

(Carbon Fiber)
Carbon fiber may comprehensively improve integrity of structure with its strength of wear resistance, load resistance, and friction resistance. It differs from glass and fiber in its being a softer fiber with its lower scratch resistance when touched to surfaces of other objects.

(Graphite Powder)
Chemical structure of graphite powder is in unique lattice, making it easy to slide on surfaces with other object, especially when there is moisture. The property makes graphite powder an ideal additive for wear reistance, applicable to many cases in water, such as water meter housing, vanes, valve seals.

(PFPE)

A new oil great for internal lubricant with its physical property of wear resistance and low friction, able to decrease or eliminate mold scale problems related to PTPE, in addition to its working as mold releasing agent that helps increase injection outpots.

(Silicone Fluid)

As a migratory wear additive, when silicone fluid is added to thermoplastic plastics, it slowly moves to parts surface ,forming a continuous layer of membrane, which benefits those machines that start fast, suffering high speed friction, and in need of low load wear-resistant application.
